About the Academy

The Charles MacPherson Academy

The Charles MacPherson Academy was founded in 2009 in response to the demand for highly skilled, professionally trained private service professionals. For over a decade, we have educated and equipped house managers, butlers, housekeepers, and other private service professionals with the knowledge and skill required to meet modern-day service expectations.

Since Covid-19 impacted our ability to learn together in person, we have taken considerable time to think about our approach, the materials that best lend themselves to online learning and the overall student experience. In 2022, we launched our Online Academy, where we offer you important content from some of our most popular courses.

Our professional development courses leverage the knowledge and intel we have obtained while working directly with private service professionals, private employers, and those who work on their behalf. We understand the growing needs and expectations of our clients and their families. We also have first-hand experience with the day-to-day realities of working in a home. It is this dual perspective that gives us a unique outlook on the private service industry and the insight required to develop and deliver courses aimed at building the knowledge, aptitude, skills and capabilities that private service professionals are seeking and employers are expecting.

Through our educational programming, we have seen the impact training can have on the future of those working in private domestic service. Educating private service professionals is our passion. We wholeheartedly believe in continuous improvement and are dedicated to providing growth and development opportunities for those working in the industry.

Whether you are looking for training to improve your skills and knowledge in your current role, or are seeking to invest in the development of your private service staff, we invite you to sign up to receive programming updates.
